BeMeFul Counseling Services is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your protected health information (PHI) in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Mississippi state law.

Your health information may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:

• Treatment, including coordination of care
• Payment and billing
• Healthcare operations such as quality improvement
• As required by law, including reporting abuse or imminent risk of harm

All counseling sessions and records are confidential, except in circumstances required by law, including but not limited to:

• Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult
• Risk of serious harm to yourself or others
• Court orders or legal requirements

Telehealth sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms. While every effort is made to protect privacy, clients are responsible for ensuring their own physical privacy during sessions.

• Request corrections to your records
• Request restrictions on certain disclosures
